The Cologne golf week – usually eight days, eight courses and eight tournaments. But everything has been different this year. The catastrophic flood disaster in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate has seriously affected all of us and the popular Cologne golf week event. Three tournaments had to be cancelled due to the unplayable courses. But the atmosphere at the remaining five was very special. Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the tournaments, and there was an outpouring of sympathy and a huge willingness to help and donate.

STILPUNKTE was once again one of the event partners.


This year was the 12th edition of the Rolls-Royce highlight staged by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Cologne and Procar Automobile on Sylt. “Genuss mit allen Sinnen” – “Enjoy with all the senses” – was the title of an entertaining programme organised by Cologne dealer Michael Gleissner, with culinary delicacies, a new Rolls-Royce Studio and a special convertible model. Inspired by the new Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Phantom campaign "Rules Rewritten" and as a treat for one of his guests, Michael Gleissner set up a Phantom on the beach, complete with roof rack and surfboard – and himself in a wetsuit.

The Rolls-Royce Come Together on Sylt was all about amazing experiences on land, on the water and in the air, plus test drives of the latest Rolls-Royce models and the presentation of the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The LOEWENDORF Media Group is a partner of the 2018 Rolls-Royce Come Together.

The event began in Hörnum with a Lanson champagne reception at Hotel Budersand. Guests could then take part in a golf tournament or a taster golf class at GC Budersand Sylt golf club, with culinary treats at Restaurant Strönholt. For art lovers, there were exhibitions of Leon Löwentraut with a work created especially for the Come Together at Golfhotel Budersand, and of contemporary works at the Galerie Werkhallen gallery in Kampen.

Boat trips on the North Sea and helicopter rides offered island views with a difference.

Kölner Reit- und Fahrverein e.V.

This wonderful June weekend was definitely enjoyed best on horseback. But all non-riders also had a fantastic time at the 2018 dressage and showjumping tournament run by Cologne’s Reit und Fahrverein e.V. riding club. Everyone was spellbound by the interaction between rider and horse in a thrilling range of disciplines including showjumping and advanced dressage. STILPUNKTE GmbH sponsored the event, helping the organisers to increase public awareness of this amazing sport.
